Around the Flower Garden

Here are some recent garden highlights.

Fireweed in bloom.

Wild Strawberries

Violas are blooming all over the garden. I love their cheery faces.

Verbascum and fragrant Mock Orange. This is a nice combo this year!

Creeping Thyme next to the pond.

A flowering bulb. I don't recall the name of it. Do you know?

This little guy was flitting about the garden one evening. I love his striped antennae! I think this is a Silvery Blue.

Double Delight rose....a fragrant rose, the only reason I keep the black spot ridden bush.

The Black-capped Chickadee babies fledged about 10 days ago and the parents are run ragged keeping them fed. I hear the begging in the bushes and today one came out to the feeder to be fed. Look at the size of that chunk of suet!

Here, as the sun goes down, one parent takes a moment to relax and get a drink.
