Visiting the Country

I recently visited my parent's house. I got to check on my chickies. This could be Barbara the Barred Rock. Or not. There is more than one Barred Rock, so I can't be certain this is Barbara, although she is looking at me like she recognizes me, don't you think?





This is Delaware, the Delaware. Rumor has it she is VERY friendly and like to be picked up and carried around, which none of the others allow.



This Colchicum is most beautiful!



In my parent's greenhouse there are about a dozen of these nests. My mom says that she lets them be and they don't bother her at all. Hard to believe isn't it?



This flower, called Bee's Friend, seems to be a winner with bees. I hope to grow some next year.
