Fungi, Flowers, and More Birds

More from yesterday's outing.

Camas Lily almost ready to blooom.

Chickadee collecting moss for a soft nest.

This Robin kept evading me, but I managed to get a couple of photos. Nest building too.

Jackson Bottoms' paths are covered with bark chips and mushrooms were everywhere. I was wishing I had my macro lens. There must have been spores in the bark when they spread it. A lot of diversity too.

These next two are my favorite. I love the delicate lines on the underside.

Moving onto Fernhill Wetlands--

Savannah Sparrow well disguised

Canada Goose and goslings!

The adults hissed at me as I walked by. Good parents.

By the way, did you know May 6 is a Super Full Moon?

  2. Loved the pictures as always. I always feel like I've had a walk with you. I was wondering if any animals ever ate mushrooms? I never see pictures with one with bites out of it.
