Veggie Garden Update

I always plant a few annuals amongst the veggies to add a bit of color and to attract the bees and hummers. I am very pleased with the progress of the garden this year.
A new summer Salvia for the hummingbirds. I love the electric blue.

This Salvia overwintered. The hummers are loving it.

I have eight tomato plants growing nicely. Mostly sauce tomatoes. Last
year I froze a lot of marinara and chopped tomatoes for soup.
It was so nice to have them in the winter.

Beets with my fancy dog barrier.

Peas are starting to produce. So far just enough to snack on while
watering plants.

Potatoes are lush and starting to flower.

More salad than I can eat!

  1. Very nice! What a beautiful garden you are creating! My peas never seem to make it in to the house due to snacking!!!

  3. Your garden looks bountiful. Nothing tastes better in a salad than a homegrown, sun ripened tomato. Happy Friday. Heather
