Fernhill Wetlands

It was afternoon when I got to Fernhill Wetlands. I couldn't tell if it was going to downpour or sunshine. It ended up being sunny and warm for a walk around the ponds.

The water level is getting low and it looks like a few shorebirds are showing up.

Twinberry

Common Whitetail- first of the season.

The find of the day!! Green Heron

Various birds- Cowbird, Sandpiper, and Savannah Sparrow- were on the path. None of them let me get very close, but I really like how they look with the blooming St. John's Wort.

Killdeer

Spotted Sandpiper?
