Ankeny- Lyons- Stayton

I went to visit family yesterday and detoured to Ankeny for about an hour of birding. It was rainy and windy, but I got a few photos. I'm easily entertained by finding other things to photograph anyhow.

On a country road near Jefferson...

At my parent's house....

Kingston Prairie...

You can't see the flowers from the road, but upon close inspection, a few are starting to bloom. It will be a riot of flowers in another 6-8 weeks.

Back at home there are a million Pine Siskin in the garden.

  1. Whoa, siskin fest. That's what I had going in the fall but thankfully now only a handful. That Rufous hummer is awesome!

  2. You are enamored of fungus, I see. And great big oaks full of mistletoe. Pretty!
