Cooper Mountain/// in the fog....

Frenchman's Bar///

Steigerwald NWR/// sunshine oh beautiful sunshine!

Back at home///

Barn Owl (no photos) was bird #174 for the year. I have another day of birding before the end of the year, so maybe I can squeak out another species. And I'm looking forward to starting a new 2014 list.

Happy Winter to you all!

  3. Nice photos. I'm doing my first little big year of birding. Right now I'm at 38 species. How did you ever manage the Townsend's warbler in December?! Isn't that a summer bird?

    1. Hi Caleb! Here in the Willamette Valley Townsend's Warblers visit us in the winter. They go higher elevations for nesting in the spring and summer.

    1. A friend of mine used to make those. She is a welder. It's a piece of art and feeder all in one!
