Yesterday at Ridgefield was really nice. The weather stayed dry and the birds were out. We saw about 47 species. The highlights were a Rough-legged Hawk, Black Phoebe, hearing Trumpeter Swans, and good looks at Sandhill Cranes. We are still trying to confirm ID on a possible Harlan's Red-tailed Hawk. I was wanting to see River Otters and we got some of those too!
There's been a Harlan's hanging out in short-ish bush far out in the field on the last leg of the route- it's been in relatively the same spot my last few visits. Maybe the same? I like the upside down creeper! And that hoodie is gorgeous too.
