I went to visit my parents today. I stopped at a wetlands by Stayton to take a peek. Just a few Mallards and a Great Blue Heron were present.
I had such a nice time photographing Kingston Prairie last time, that I stopped again. The peak wildflower season is over, but I rolled down my window to listen and right away I heard what I was hoping to hear: Western Meadowlark. One flew into a close bush and I was able to get a few photos.
The prairie really looks different than
it did in May!
On McCully Mtn. I stopped at a gravel road with a Weyerhaeuser gate and walked up the road a little ways. I didn't have to go far to get a view of the clearcuts and lots of bird activity.

At my parent's house the flowers are blooming.
On the way back by Kingston Prairie I stopped to walk around a little. No birds. But I found a few lone wildflowers.
