Between getting out in the last of our dry fall days and cooking, I have been doing a bit of crochet. I seem to gravitate to the small projects like potholders. Small projects are easy to tote around (work on during my lunch break) and easy to complete in a short period of time. I like the inexpensive cotton yarns. Don't get me wrong, I love the expensive ones too, but I can crochet away with the inexpensive ones and not feel like it will break the bank.
Here are a few of my recent projects. Can you tell I like to work in circles? Very satisfying.
African Flower Potholder- pattern here.
The next three photos are variations of that pattern.
Above is the Modern Vintage Potholder- pattern here. I put a contrasting color on the back side to make it interesting.
These two are the Gemstone Doily- pattern here.
I think I like the simplicity of the plain one below. I am enjoying it in my bathroom with some soaps on it.
What are you crocheting lately?
Ahem..... Doily police here.....you are only 40. You should not be putting doilies on things. If one goes on top of the tv there will be a knock on your door and the men will take you to your new home. Potholders however are perfectly fine and I adore my pair from you .
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing! Thanks for sharing. I am crocheting baby blankets for the kyoyu kyoy project (http://kyoyukyoyu.blogspot.com/) for orphans of the Japan tsunami. But these potholders look like I should give them a try!
