Clackamas County Birds/ Washington County Odes

Yesterday I visited Barton Park in Clackamas County. I spent two hours there and saw all kinds of good stuff.

Later I watched some dragonflies at a local wetlands.

This morning I saw a Spotted Sandpiper juvenile at Jackson Bottom Wetlands and was shown where their delicate little grass nest was. There is no way you would ever find this thing in the tall vegetation. Amazing.

  1. First of all, Barton Park in the summer?? You are brave. That place gets bananas. I love the vultures and all the odes. So cool on the nest!
